Truffle Recipe

200g chocolate or marble cake
2 x 65g mars bars
25g butter
1 tablespoon brandy (or similar) can also be added - parents please note this was omitted in the cub truffles!!
 200g milk or plain chocolate
Cut up the mars bars into pieces and melt with the butter (and brandy if using). This is best done in the microwave, but be careful not to over heat it or the caramel with turn to crunchy toffee (you have been warned!)
Once melted, crumble the cake into the mixture and mix well, then form into walnut sized balls. Allow these 15 minutes to set in the fridge.
Melt the chocolate in a bowl over a pan of simmering water. Dip each ball into the chocolate until covered and place on a tray lined with greasproof paper to prevent sticking.
Place in the fridge to set.
Nuts and cherries can also be added to add variety.
